The big event in the European Parliament this week will be the vote on the nominated president of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen. The German Defence Minister will make a speech in the European Parliament in Strasbourg at 9am (French time) tomorrow. That will be followed by a debate with MEPs until 12:30pm.

Then the political groups will get together and decide on their positions before the formal vote gets underway at 6pm.

The EPP group has said they’ll support von der Leyen. However both Renew Europe and the Socialists and Democrats have sent Ms von der Leyen a list of demands that they want her to address in her policy pledges during her speech to MEPs tomorrow.

Here’s the list of demands from Renew Europe.

Here’s what the Socialists and Democrats are looking for.
