EU leaders are hoping to sign off on the EU-Canada trade agreement following a breakthrough in a deadlock that had threatened its future. The Belgian regional parliament of Wallonia caused consternation when it recently rejected the accord. But a compromise was reached with them yesterday. Now it looks like the Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement CETA will be signed into force soon. The Fine Gael MEP Mairead McGuinness says we have nothing to fear from the CETA deal.
